About

Radicle Residency supports the creation of experimental work, new work or the completion of current work-in-progress by giving regional artists a studio space to work in, a materials stipend, and an artist fee. Artists will have 3-4 weeks to bring a project to completion for a one month exhibition at the end of their residency.

Artists will work in BASEMENT and have access to two workspaces (total 765 square feet) and basic studio facilities. Artists will also engage with BASEMENT artist-curators throughout their residency in support of the development of their project and final exhibition. Artists are free to use the space as needed for their studio process and are encouraged to engage with the public through open studio hours or other organized public events. Selected residents will receive a stipend of $1,250 and a material and installation budget of $400.

The call is open to artists of all media with roots in the Southeast who can commute to BASEMENT. We are asking artists to commit to at least three days or a minimum of 20 hours/week in the BASEMENT studio.
