BASEMENT is thrilled to present a collaborative exhibition in partnership with Durham art space and espresso shop, (perfect lovers). An extension of our Radicle Artist Residency, radicle lovers presents the works of seven artists with roots in the Southeast: G.R. Amaya-Baron, Angela Eastman, Lee Edwards, Erica Palmiter, Londs Reuter, Katie Shlon, and Martín Wannam. Each artist offers a unique lens on movement, displacement, love, revolution, and change, showcasing a rich tapestry of perspectives.

On the exhibition’s opening night, the space will be energized by tank/TINK—starting at 6:15 pm, over 20 artists will present a series of continuous 3-minute performances. These performances encompass a wide range, from action art and movement to poetry, spanning from the profound to the mundane. tank/TINK serves as a celebration of community and live arts, offering a unique performance experience. radicle lovers unites these artists to explore, through a myriad of mediums and viewpoints, the regional expressions of global shifts.

This project is supported by the Snapdragon Fund, a collaboration between VAE Raleigh and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, providing financial support for participating artists.
